UPDATE ON UPPER AETNA OIL SHEEN

Homeowners on Upper Aetna Lake will be pleased to know that the oil sheen that appeared on the Lake has been addressed. Through the cooperation of the Homeowners and the assistance of the Burlington County Health Department, a private remediation firm has been engaged to eliminate the source of the oil. A faulty aboveground tank has been emptied and the source has been eliminated. The original contamination has been contained and remediation activities continue. The Lakes are safe for recreational use.
