Message from the Mayor

The severe storm last Friday demonstrated the seemingly whimsical power of Mother Nature. This storm also once again showed the tried and true determination of our residents to come together to help one another in a time of need. While there is much cleanup work left to be done in the ensuing days, we are back on our feet.

Our recovery to-date could not be possible without the dedicated service of our Borough first responders, EMS, fire, police, and our public works and administration staff. Under the leadership of our OEM coordinator and the able assistance of Medford’s Public Safety staff, the County, and the Red Cross, we successfully addressed the needs of our community. Also, the team from PSEG did an outstanding job restoring and re-restoring power to the town --their focused effort was instrumental to our recovery.

With neighbor helping neighbor, we have come through yet another beating from Mother Nature stronger as a community. On behalf of Borough Council, I wish to express my appreciation to all who served the Borough in its time of need. We are grateful for your efforts and commitment to our town.

Mayor Paul G. Weiss
