Request for Proposals

PURSUANT to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:11-5(1) (a) (i) of the Local Public Contracts Law, the Borough of Medford Lakes, County of Burlington, State of New Jersey, hereby solicits proposals for the award of a contract for the study of shared police services.
Sealed RFQ/RFP (Request for Qualification/Proposal) responses (5 copies) must be submitted to Mark McIntosh Borough Clerk by NOON on Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at the Borough Clerk’s Office in the Municipal Building, 1 Cabin Circle, Medford Lakes, New Jersey 08055.
Specifications and instructions may be obtained at the Borough Clerk’s Office or by emailing the Borough Clerk Mark McIntosh at markjmc@comcast.net .
Interested parties can submit a proposal for any and all categories of the professional services listed above. No proposals will be accepted after the date and time indicated above. All proposals shall address, at a minimum, the elements included in the respective minimum requirements for vendor response, but may also include such other information that interested parties believe will assist the Mayor and Council in evaluating the proposal. All selections will be based on the review of the documents and information submitted, as well as independent research performed by the Borough, such as a review of references, an evaluation of performance with other governmental and non-governmental entities and/or all other available information.
The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Medford Lakes reserves the right in their sole discretion to choose one or more professionals for each service, or to choose not to make a selection based on the notice, or to post subsequent notices for the same, similar, or different services, which the Mayor and Council believes to be in the best interest of the Borough of Medford Lakes.
The Borough has structured a procurement process that seeks to obtain the desired results described above, while establishing a competitive environment to assure that each person and/or firm is provided an equal opportunity to submit a proposal in response to the RFP. Proposals will be evaluated in accordance with the criteria set forth in this RFP, which will be applied in the same manner to each proposal received.
