Oaks Hall Reconstruction

The excitement surrounding the “rebuilding” of our Community continues with activity at the site of our Municipal Cabin. The Borough has awarded a contract to John D. Lawrence, Inc. of Westville, NJ to pour concrete footings, foundation walls and a new slab for our new Oaks Hall. We expect to complete this aspect of construction by early October and anticipate delivery of our log building in November. The manufacturer, Heartbilt Homes, Inc., has advised us that the logs have been cut and are in the final stages of profiling. The building will be erected at the factory in Illinois and disassembled for shipping to Medford Lakes. The log building should arrive in early November and take about two weeks to reassemble on our site. In the time between now and arrival, Borough Council will advertise bids for roof sheeting and shingles and final tenant fit out. It is our goal to award a contract to a General Contractor and the appropriate subcontractors this year. This will enable us to occupy our Municipal Cabin early in 2007. Needless to say, we are all getting very excited and look forward to serving Medford Lakes from our new home.
