HOUSE NUMBERING for SAFETY & EFFICIENCY

The International Property Maintenance Code (adopted 11/24/04) requires that all buildings in the Borough shall have address numbers placed in a position to be plainly legible and visible from the street or road fronting the property. These numbers shall contrast with their background and be a minimum of four (4) inches high and a stroke width of (one-half) 1/2 inch. The numbering of your property aides in quick identification by Police, Fire and EMS units and it also helps the public works department with pick-ups and deliveries to your property. In the last two (2) weeks of large trash pick-ups by the Public Works department, a total of twenty-one (21) homes were found to be missing numbers.
