Medford Lakes Receives $145,000 Transportation Grant

Medford Lakes has been successful in obtaining a $145,000 State Transportation Trust Fund grant for improvement of the Stokes Road Pedestrian walkway along Ballinger Lake. This Grant, combined with a previous $125,000 grant for Trading Post way will allow the Borough to make substantial improvements for Pedestrian and bike access to these important routes. Work on both will be postponed until the completion of the Lower Aetna dam project in late Spring but the Borough anticipates awarding the initial contract on the Trading Post Way intersection before the end of 2006.
