Road Repair Notice!!!

SCHEDULED BRIDGE WORK TO CLOSE TWO ROADS
Tabernacle Road in Medford Lakes, Hawkins Road in Medford
The Burlington County Highway Department will close two roads for bridge work on or about Wednesday, November 7th, Freeholder Vincent R. Farias has announced.
Tabernacle Road, between Stokes Road (County Route 541) and McKendimen Road, in Medford Lakes will be closed on or about November 7th for one week for bridge repairs. Wood stringers and the wood deck will be replaced and the bridge deck will be repaved.
The road will be open to traffic on either side of the bridge but thru traffic will be prohibited.
On or about Thursday, November 8th, Hawkins Road will be closed for two days between Skeet Road and Independence Road in Medford, for milling and repaving of bridge approaches.

Council Meeting Schedule for November

(Budget Workshop & Change of Date)
In accordance with the provisions of the Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-6 et seq., notice is hereby given that the Borough Council of the Borough of Medford Lakes, New Jersey will conduct a Budget Workshop Meeting followed by a Regular Meeting on Thursday, November 8, 2007, at 6:30pm and 7:30pm respectively in Demby Annex, at Vaughan Community Hall, 79 Tecumseh Trail, Medford Lakes, New Jersey 08055. The regular meeting was originally scheduled and advertised for November 15, 2007. Official action may be taken at these meetings. These meetings are open to the public. An Executive Session may be required to discuss matters involving litigation and collective bargaining.

UPDATE ON UPPER AETNA OIL SHEEN

Homeowners on Upper Aetna Lake will be pleased to know that the oil sheen that appeared on the Lake has been addressed. Through the cooperation of the Homeowners and the assistance of the Burlington County Health Department, a private remediation firm has been engaged to eliminate the source of the oil. A faulty aboveground tank has been emptied and the source has been eliminated. The original contamination has been contained and remediation activities continue. The Lakes are safe for recreational use.
